About I Love Manx

Founded in 2003 the “I Love Manx” Campaign is jointly promoted by the Manx National Farmers’ Union and the Department of Environment, Foor and Agriculture on the Isle of Man.

“I Love Manx” champions the providers of quality Manx produce, raises awareness of food and farming related issues and encourages new enterprise on the Isle of Man.

President Manx National Farmers' Union, Howard Quayle

We aim to be your point of reference on local food matters. Our website allows you to access up to date information and equips you with the knowledge that you require to feed your family with confidence using local food. There is no reason why the whole Island cannot feel good about what we eat.

“We believe that Manx produce meets the highest standards of quality, traceability from farm to fork and best of all provides great tastes and seasonal flavours. If you live on the Isle of Man buying and eating Manx has huge benefits retaining wealth in our local economy and by maintaining the agriculture and fishing industries you are enabling all of us to have long term sustainable food security. Choosing Manx allows local farmers to continue to maintain our beautiful countryside to the highest environmental standards; with small field sizes, miles of hedgerows and less intensive farming practices than many of our nearest neighbours. Buying Manx also helps you do your bit for the environment by reducing the number of miles your food travels to your table and keeping your carbon footprint down.

All those involved in the “I Love Manx” campaign say a huge - Thanks for Choosing Manx!”

Hon. John Shimmin MHK, Agriculture Minister
